Homeschool news

Heres whats new. There is, broadening T4L's appeal,  science and social studies and a new index to educational resources.

In terms of learning to read, there is the most incredible new story about dyslexia. For solutions, parents should have a good grounding in each of the key foundation skills of being a successful reader:
Phonemic Awareness,
Phonics
Reading Comprehension
Reading Vocabulary
Reading Fluency

These are of course the NCLB Bush-driven concept of the five steps to learning to read. The concept is best documented on the reading skills pyramid.
